Stoughton Branch Location
The Stoughton Solar Branch opened in 1977 at 400 West Main Street. It was the first active solar bank office in Wisconsin. Inspired by Stoughton's proud Norwegian heritage, the building was designed by architect Don Reppen to resemble Edvard Grieg's home in Bergen, Norway. The building's warm interior is enhanced by horizontal pine paneling, and striking rosemaling by Stoughton resident Ethel Kvalheim.
